Hello from Cucamonga!

Well, Rancho Cucamonga, California actually, I just like saying Cucamonga.

We (hubby and I) have a '30 1964 Sovereign, and sadly, I am here to learn how to sell her. But not too sadly, because my dream is save up for a Bambi, they are so cute!

So I've been researching the forums, you guys know everything! And hopefully she will find a good home someday.

So hello again and I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome to the Airforums Breena!

Sorry to see your selling the Sovereign but excited about the bambi...
I am very familiar with Rancho as I send all my Mercedes technicians down there for technical training. Hope you find the perfect little airstream.

Cheers.

Vinnie

Well, it used to be just Cucamonga, as a matter of fact:
" The city was incorporated in 1977, as a result of a vote among the residents of the unincorporated communities of Alta Loma, Cucamonga, and Etiwanda."

You will love the Bambi. I have the Sport 16 version. Which one are you thinking about?

Thank you for the welcome Airslide, elfirebob, and Rich of Scal.

elfirebob, my husband calls the Bass Pro Shop Disneyland, he can spend hours in there...me, not so much, lol.

Rich of Scal, I've lived here since 1970, so I did get to say Cucamonga for 7 years at least.
And for Bambi's? I was originally thinking very small, and very old, but now I'm leaning toward newer. It's gonna be awhile, but it's my dream to have one someday.

I like those Sport 16 Bambi's. Can you pull it with a car?

Hey Breena:

Like the others, we are both sad & happy for you. Hope you reach your "dream". I too am familiar with "Rancho Cucamonga". I went to JC there back in the early 80's (lived in Glen Avon and worked for CalPro to do that), got an AS to be a radiologic tech, then used that as a stepping stone to get where I am today.

I was thinking old too, but decided I didn't want to spend the time and money to restore one after reading all that would be required.
Yes, the Sport can be pulled with a car, if its' big enough. I pull mine with my '08 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. The Sport is the lightest AS currently made with a GVWR of 3500 and dry weight of just under 2900. It is very efficiently layed out.
