Greetings from Colorado and welcome to Air Forums and the vintage Airstream hobby. Vintage Airstreams just keep going, and going, and going.
You are very wise to purchase a renovated Overlander 26' International (top trim level). It looks great inside and out. I can tell from the photos it is likely a 66 or 67 model year (the bath was different in 67, and I can't see the bath), and the 68's had little frames around the windows. Your trailer is very unique as Airstream used new fangled Corning curved glass windows to create a sleek, aerodynamic exterior over the flat windows of
1965 and earlier. Airstream introduced a new body style in 1969 that has a completely different type of window. Some here say the mid sixties Airstreams were very good ones indeed. Neat looking and well built.
I had a
1966 Trade Wind 24' basic, photo below. It was one size smaller than yours. I did extensive work to it and really enjoyed it for 3 years. It too is a vintage Airstream that keeps going and going. I sold it last year as I wanted another project. I believe the buyer got a very good trailer indeed.
Last year I bought a 75 Overlander 27' International. It is the new body style. It is in good condition but needed some major frame work and some appliance replacements to make it more modern. I enjoy working on these old Airstreams. I think 1977 was the last year of the Overlander name. Airstream revamped their product offerings in 78 and went with 3' increments for length. The Overlander name was the odd guy out I guess.
Here is a photo of my 75 Overlander.
