hello from Boise Idaho

I'm on a quest to become an airstream afficianado.
Step 1: buy airstream that is under 22'.
Step 2: revel in it's greatness.
Step 3: make it cute.
Step 4: hit the road.

Step 1 has proven very difficult, and my summer is drifting by... help!

We love Boise (Boysee). I did a project for most of 2005 there and became a huge fan of the city and the area as a whole. Hope to get back there some day.
Good luck on your quest.

Welcome to the forums. Check out the classifieds. IIRC, I saw a few older A/S's from either Washington or Montana on there.

A member from Boise? Welcome, from Meridian.

Could you share any other requirements you may have? We might be able to help.

Hey, awalio! Welcome the Forums! Wow...Boise. That's great. I was raised in Meridian (next door to Boise) a million years ago. Haven't been there in probably 30 years ... I'm sure it's spread and changed a lot from what I remember... We camped/fished/hunted when I was a kid ... there are some beautiful places in Idaho ...We've thought of making a trip that direction at some point with the Bambi ... a sort of trip "down memory lane."

You are in the right place here on the Forums in your quest for your Airstream...hang in there...it will come to you!

Welcome to the forums from another newbie. We just bought our first AS a few weeks ago and are learning tons from the wonderful members here. Maybe I'll get my next job in Idaho. That's one of my first choices. (Traveling RN).

Step 1 is easier if you don't limit yourself to 22' and under, although those bambi trailers are so darn cute !!!

hazzah!

wow, you all are great, thanks for the warm welcome. I have news! So I found a 17" from the airstream guy, waiting anxiously to close the deal and get it to Boise. In the meantime, I've sold my car, and am searching for an appropriate SUV to pull my new companion. BTW, I can't be more excited YAAAHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO. OK so I need something costing under 10k and can pull a Caravel with a base wt of 2,250 lb (when empty). So I don't want to mess with the small SUVs having a 3,500 capcity, no no no. I want to be able to scale the Blue Mountain pass sans issue. So need at least 4000 capacity. I don't want a truck.

Current list:
* old ML320 (found a 2001 for 10K)
* honda pilot
* jeep commnader (yeah, right again, $$$)
* Pathfinder
* Xterra (ugly, but it'd do)
* 4Runner (I have a soft spot for these, but some review said they're not all that when it comes to towing)

Ideas? Comments? Can't wait to be official!

Welcome to the Forums and I hope you get your Airstream. I've been to Boise many times when I had family who lived there.

BTW, glad to see the Broncos in the Mountain West Conference. Should make for some great football rivalries.
