Hello from beautiful Victoria,BC

Hello everyone, first time to post a thread so bare with me. My lovely one and I live in British Columbia and are proud new owners of our very first Airstream Land Yatcht Safari. For the longest time since traveling to the US/Santa Cruz in 86' I have always been fascinated by this gleaming machine known as Airstream.

We enjoy kayaking, mountainbiking and exploring. We plan on traveling across our great continent in the near future and possibly meeting up with fellow Airstreamers alike.

Since purchasing our beauty we have come to enjoy the incredible amount of knowledge, sense of community, and importantly sense of pride that is shared amongst fellow Airstream enthusiast. Best in class!

We have researched many sites and have started to our journey to refurbish our dream machine. There have been many times when we thought that we have bit of more than we could chew but in fact it is all about the journey that propels us. Moving forward I would greatly appreciate the knowledge and wisdom of others and will share my own learning as we progress. We look forward in connecting with each of you!

Hi Moose Tags,
Victoria, BC is our (wife and I) favorite place to visit. You folks certainly have a great museum, and a beautiful park system, with plenty of visitors, with lots of smilin' faces. Last time we visited, we walked from from downtown, through the beautifully landscaped park, to the long walkway at the edge of the ocean. A soft rain was falling that made it all feel magical.

Of course we stopped at Barb's for fish and chips before heading back to the hotel.

Glad to hear you've joined the ranks of the "shinny trailer club" and look forward to seening you on the road sometime. Maybe, we'll even run into to you in Victoria, BC. You just never know!

Retro & Lovely One

A hearty welcome to the Forums and Airstream ownership! Airstreams are durable classics... you will not be disappointed by the journey.

Victoria, BC? I purchased one of my sailboats up there (Sydney) and fell in love with the place... sort of like the San Francisco of the North, cosmopolitan, walkable, and (as opposed to certain areas of SF) clean! Must say... I am somewhat jealous. PLEASE post your recommendations for camping sites on Vancouver Island! I really need to get up there with the rig/family in tow.

Once you are ready for it, may I suggest a trip down the West Coast. Pleasant, no major grades, and we speak English (or American).

Welcome from North Vancouver! Glad to see another BC resident on board. I'm often over to Nanaimo for work and also frequent west island, as my family has a cottage in Ucluelet. Where did you find your trailer? oh, and be sure to photograph the progress of your work and share your pics with us.

Welcome folks. You'll find pretty much everything you ever wanted to know (and sometimes weren't sure you wanted to know) using the search feature on the forums. You will be amazed at the wealth of information within the group and that is already available to you. There are quite a few BC'ites on the forum.

Pictures of your trailer are good. Really god as a matter of fact. We thrive on pictures, as well as good threads, but pictures are good.

We will be heading north this week on the Coho ferry for a week or so on Vancouver Island. I wonder if any of you BC folks have ever trailered or camped north of Campbell River?
