Hello from AZ

Hello all!
I've been lurking here for a while and the knowledge base is vast! I'm in the hunt for my AS. Last summer phase 1 of the Airstream Dream was complete. I sold my Jeep Grand Cherokee and bought a tow... 2005 Ford F250 CC Diesel King Ranch (she is a beast) So now phase 2.. buy the AS.. So many things to consider and your input is appreciated..
I'm look for a used and loved AS 25-31 late 90s early 2000s
25-31 foot
sleep 4 min prefer 6
Do any of the excella and classics in the 30 ish length come with a dinette?
Opinion on split bath vs all in one?
What is better kids.. 2 twin beds or a queen bed? How about for resale if we buy a newer one in a couple of years do people like the twins?
Ok.. I have lots of questions.. we'll save for future posts.
Thanks,
AZstreamin

Hello AZstreamin. Welcome to the forum!

My beloved Parents live a town or two over from you, just outside Apache Junction in un-incorporated Pinal County. They gifted us their 1993 25' Excella when they upgraded to a Airstream MH. Our Excella has twin beds and we are very happy with the setup. Lots of storage in the bedroom area, it allows us to move around without bumping into each other. As for a dinette, our 25' does not have one and I don't know of any 25' Classic models that do. The newer 25' Safari's offer one though. Our camper has a fold out sofa that in a pinch serves as a bed for two. I'm not sure it's a great solution for a family. This camper is really built for two people.

You're looking for a 30' Excella or Classic (same floorplan, different name) which is actually 31' long. It has both a dinette and a couch that folds into a bed so it is a true 6-sleeper. Big tanks, lots of room, and a split bath. The split bath is great, room to dry off after you shower and get dressed afterwards.

Hi AZ...welcome to the forums!

Nice Truck! I have a 96 F350 PSD CC known as The MOTHERShip Baths and twins are going to be personal preference. I currently have a rear bath mid twin, in the older narrow body. In those the center bath was way too small. On the new wide bodies the center bath is roomier. With twins you have the option of putting bunks in above them so you can double up the kids. Check out PizzaChop's Photos He built in a set of bunks for the crew and uses the front gaucho for a double bed. Airstreams lend themselves very well to customizing.

Congratulations on the truck, good luck with finding your coach, and welcome to the forums.
