Smile Hello from Alabama

Soon to be new owner of a 1972 Argosy 22'. I have been lurking off and on for quite some time and thought I can now join in. So, after camping in the back of the Avalanche then tent camping for a week In-- The--Rain, We got more serious about finding our "new" camper. Can't wait to get it and get going!

Fantastic! Congratulations on your new to you Airstream. If you are up for it, the GA Unit of the WBCCI (an international club of Airstream owners) is having a rally the 18th-22nd of July at our campground in Helen, GA. I would guess it is about a 3 1/2-4 hour drive from Dothan. It is our summer youth rally with lots of children and grandchildren around.

Welcome and congratulations on making the jump from lurker to posting member. Congrats on the Argosy too.

Howdy and welcome from Montgomery! There's lots of great camping in LA as well as in the panhandle.
Happy Trails!

Thanks for the welcome! We can't make it in July for the rally but that does sound fun. We won't be picking up our Argosy until the end of August, it's in Michigan and I work and have time off then. Come on August. It's gonna be a looong drive but we are ready!

BTW Aviator, We Camp in north Georgia as often as we can. My husband and I are members of the LDMA and love the Cleveland, Dalonega, Helen area. It is so nice there.

LDMA?

I would love to have you join our WBCCI unit. Since you camp in the Helen area, the big plus is that camping at Top of Georgia is only $7 a night. You would recover the WBCCI membership fee in just a single weekend of camping when you factor in what some of the other places charge.

LDMA is the Lost Dutchman Mining Association. If you like to get outside, meet lots of great people and find a little gold and camp...you might just like it. We haven't found a boat load of gold yet but we've had so much fun doing it. The Loud Mine is in Cleveland, Ga.

Thanks for the info on WBCCI. Gonna look it up now.
