Hello from Alabama

I just purchased my first Airstream. Its a 1970 Overlander Land Yacht 27', its all original and fairly clean considering its 39 years old. Looking foward to learning and sharing pictures.

Welcome! Our Little Girl came from Mobile, Alabama this spring. Pretty place that time of year. (Esp. when the snow was still melting here.). You'll have lots of fun with your new baby!

There is a rather large Forums Rally in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on January 8 - 10, 2010. It is a Topsail State Park in Santa Rosa Beach which is about 50 east of Pensacola.

You would get to meet a whole bunch of other Airstreamers and see a whole bunch of Airstreams, both new and vintage. Even if your baby is not quite ready to camp, drive over for the day as it is one about 125 miles from Spanish Fort.

This rally is called the Can Opener, and info can be found by clicking on it in the Rally Section at the bottom of the Portal Page. There is also a thread on the 2010 Can Opener that is active right now.

Hope to see you there.

Brian

Hi, Moosetags!!!
Well, Bob and I have our "baby". We both fell in love with the Ocean Breeze, found a 2008 25 ft FB in Columbia, SC and drove it home last weekend! All of the neighbors have been over and we're just pleased as punch!!! We owe you and SuEllyn a big thank you. Graciously showing us your Safari and all the bells and whistles really helped us decide that your floorplan and the 25 ft was perfect for us. We'd love to come to Santa Rosa Beach in Jan. You had mentioned this last time we talked so I need to clear it with Bob and get things arranged. We're still trying to get comfortable with the Hensley, the OB, everything, so hopefully, by Jan, we'll feel more confident about taking it to West FL.

Hope the big wedding went well. Our best to you both.

Sandra and Bob

Hi Tripod 58,

We're over here across the bay. You will be having so much fun with your airstream you won't believe it!! Hubby retired in '05 and we left for the west coast....got back five weeks later. All of our trips have been so much fun...so much to see and do. Thank goodness there is always somewhere to go. Congratulations!!!

Thanks alot. I will check into the rally, it sounds fun. My wife really isn't a outdoors type of person but she is liking the Airstream, she said she will like it more when I get it cleaned up. lol
