Hello from Alabama
I have been reading the forum for several weeks and have learned a great deal in a short amount of time. I am currently looking for a trailer and have actually looked at a couple. Thanks to what I have read and learned here, I was able to spot some problems that would require costly repairs (like the axles being shot) that made the asking price of them way too high.
I am not in a huge hurry to purchase, but would like to have one by the Fall. I am not set on a particular year, model or length either. It will be used as a base camp during the fall/winter hunting season (parked in a full hookup camp) and weekend trips throughout the spring and summer months being towed around the South. I have a 95 Chevy Suburban 4x4 with the 454 engine, so towing should not be a problem. Also, while I am not opposed to taking on projects if the purchase price was set accordingly, I would prefer one that is "ready to go" with working AC, refrigerator, heater, water pump, tanks, solid floor, etc.
I guess that I should also add that my budget has me looking in the 1991 or older models. Some of the newer ones out there are a bit too nice for my needs at this point.
If you would help me keep on the lookout, it would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
