Hello from Akron

Hello everyone,

Just joined today . We have previously had a 30 foot motorhome (at 4-5 mpg) and a 2008 Holiday Rambler travel trailer that developed bad leaks in only a few years. SOld it last year and have searched for an AIrstream since then. Airstream became a goal because of my MIL.
My wife's mother remarried years ago, sold her house in the 1980's and they travelled and lived in their Airstream for years until age made them slow down. They retired in what was originally an Airstream park in Florida and she is still there today. We are looking to follow in her footsteps within the next year or so!

Welcome, I come out your way to vend at Irish Festivals and stay at the Painsville Fairgrounds, and the Berea Fairground, but have some hookups and in Berea anyone can camp there, during the festival, come on by.

We are in LaGrange, OH which is about 25 mi. from Cleveland. We have several friends, including DanB, who camp with us in their Airstreams. We hope we get the chance to meet up with you. This is the link that Winestream created for us to post where we are all camping. Larry and I are retired and having fun doing alot of traveling. We aren't going to be full timers, but it is nice to be able to miss Ohio winters.

SHould have said I was living in AKron. Still think of myself as a Clevelander because I lived there for 40+ years and I work(ed) in Cleveland. Thanks for the invite!

Hi,

I just posted a pic under "Member's Photos"
Picked it up today! 9 hours of driving (to and from) to to pick it up. Well worth it.
No towing issues. The first two projects (after a complete inside cleaning) will be to remove the clear coating in the next week or so and remove the carpeting and replace with dog proof flooring!

Love the picture looks awesome what breed are they? Oh and I think the truck and airstream are neat also but where are the close ups and the inside? Gee come on don't tease us!

I was born in Akron - but folks moved when I was small.

Love the dogs...Airedale Terriers, perfect for an Airstream! I know, they are why you got it, right!? Had to have an Airstream to go with the Airedales....they wouldn't have any other brand!

Trailer's nice too...I agree, need more pics. We all like pics...

Airdales are correct. Somehow over the years we started taking in rescued senior Airdales . They never stayed long before passing away. The two in the pic are youngsters. The small one is 13 and the big one (100 lbs) is around eight years old and lived in a garage for 6 years by the previous owner.

Is there a way to post pics with a response to a message (like this one). I only see (below while composing this) that I can add a video but not a pic. I did press the "add a video" and selected a pic instead. I will see if it posts.
