Hello fellow streamers!

We are new to the forums, but not to Airstreams. We have 3- (hence the screen name) I don't know what we will do once we get our next one- worry about that later. Our first one (and the only one we have traveled in yet) is a 2005 Int. CCD- its the one that started it all for us. The shiny interior is awesome- and no luxury is compromised. Our two projects are a 1967 Globetrotter 20' and a 1961 Overlander 26'. The '67- "Stella" is scheduled to visit Colin at GSM soon. She will be updated- grey tank, new plumbing and what not, then we will polish and finish off the interior. The '61 is polished and pretty well solid- but needs a new axle and general updating and refinishing. We are looking for a 13 panel- somewhere between 22' and 28'. It is just my husband and I with our four dogs traveling for now. We are currently in the process of planning a big road trip with our friends (whose grandfather was an avid Airstreamer and president of his unit at one time) out west to hit CO, WY, and of course stopping in at International in Bozeman. Our friends are going to be using Stella ('67) and hopefully our '61 will be road worthy so we can caravan vintage- if not we will take our CCD.

Where have you been old streamers Welcome aboard! Look forward to seeing interior pics. I imagine you will have plenty to add, and as you will see, any and all questions can get quick answers...sometimes even good ones Now if my sister in Pittsburge would only abandon there MO and get a airstream and find out what it is supposed to be

My old beast is a refugee from a deer lease and has a long way to go before it is back on the road...but we will get there

Welcome,
rob n terry

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Well- thank you both for the warm welcome. Below is a picture of our 1961 Overlander- which came from Wally and Holly of Wally's Vintage Trailers. We are excited about customizing it and modernizing it with a few comforts. We want to take her to the international rally this summer- but if she is not ready we will take our '05 CCD.

Oh yes! That'll get the blood pumping. I've seen a couple of 60s vintage for sale of late, althought both had some really big issues. I had placed some pics in the sightings thread some time back. Not sure what direction I am going with my 73, but the accents (yellow countertop, yellow mattress covers, yellow cushins...and green carpet in the bath...I am of a mind to change that.

A few forums questions...

1. Is S.O.B. to be translated in the most common way or does it have some sort of dual meaning here on Airforums? I have seen it used a couple of times (appearing to refer to square or boxed rvs)?
2. How does one get their picture to appear next to their user name?
3. What is the "send karma" button about?

So far I am really enjoying getting to know my way around the forums and have already found tons of useful information. I appreciate any answers to these questions others may have. Happy streaming!

Welcome, Andy and April...great bunch of AStreams you have there...and good thing happen in 3s! Glad yoiu could join us...

Pardon the jargon...

1) SOB = Some Other Brand or some prefer Square Old Box.
2) You can upload a picture for your avatar at your "User Control Panel"...Click "User CP" in blue bar at top of page next to "Portal"...then click on "Edit Avatar" when your User Control Panel comes up...
3) You can send a poster a note regarding the post they have made...usually a positive comment, as in "Good Karma"...it then appears as a note to them when they log onto their User Control Panel...

See you down the road!
