Hello Fellow Air Travelers

My wife and I are presently selling our home in Hawaii and planning to move back to the mainland.
We recently purchased a 1957 Caravanner in Michigan (sight unseen) and the plan is to purchase a tow vehicle, pick it up and travel the country for about a year, visiting friends and family along the way. We restored a 1950 Boles Aero back in California (pre internet) and there was very little information available to help with that project. This Site is a great resource on so many
different levels, and as an avid do-it-yourselfer, an absolute treasure of information.
Our new trailer will be a rolling work in progress, once we get rolling that is...
Looking forward to the journey, and sharing our adventures with all of you. Thanks for all Threads out there, it's been a fun e-journey already.
See you on the road some time, Sully and Jenny

Welcome to airforums & back to the mainland. She looks beautiful! Never seen a window configuration quite like that!

Sure you want to leave the big H? Anyway, welcome and where did you find the Caravanner in MI? Just curious.

Welcome Sully & Jenny

That is a good looking 57'! Let me be the first to inform you that the tire is loosing air and the rims look iffy, too... What a brillant observation, yes?

But really, it looks to be in extremely good condition. I have some experience with this year and helped a friend retreive a 57' Custom from Missouri recently and towed it back east.

It is in need of a total makeover as the floor and frame are distressed. Just between the three of us we may become the new owners....but there are a few details to work out first.

We have travelled much of the US and Canada with our 62' and look forward towards a few more decades of exploration. Let us know when you make it to Maine and we will suggest and few places to camp.

Welcome to the forums!

You picked a really great model and a really great year.

Windows only take a day or so each and you only have 9 of them.

cheers,
steve
