I've got it home. It is plugged in and charging the batteries. Cleaned out a couple mouse nests from the winter, one big one over the stove in the cupboard and the other in the stovetop. Will vacuum the "remains" out tomorrow.

Thanks, the fella I bought it from deserves kudos for the job he did. He tells me he spend most of his life in construction. He loves to restore things. Has done houses, cars and boats. He always wanted to do a Airstream. He found this one in a lot in the Lewiston, ME area. Spent many hours and dollars fixing it. He finished and hardly used it before he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. He got real sick and moved back home out in the midwest. Rather than bring the trailer he put it up for sale. He said that he cries every morning he awakes, because he isn't back in Maine.

Gee, after all that work and being in love with it, I'd be crying, too, at leaving the Flying Cloud. We also have a '62 FC and are attempting restoration. I already paid more for new bed cushions (just covered foam, not upholstery) than I paid for the whole trailer! But I love it anyway. And I sew, so will be doing my own curtains and upholstery. My husband says we will take it to a rally in VanCouver in July: use a porta-potty, wash in a handbasin, keep food in a cooler, and maybe cook outdoors on a campstove. You can see how love causes one to ignore all the faults... (I meant the trailer's, not my husband's great ideas). Yours is a real find: polished and all fixed up! Best of luck to you, and be sure to join WBCCI and local groups: it's a great club.

Today I got the jeep back with the hitch and electric. Spent the day moving in. Right now Barb and myself are camping in the back yard, typing this on my pda. Tested everything today. Rewired somethings. We are in bed listening to radio classics on satellite radio. Plan to have breakfast of perked coffee and Maypo cereal.

This is fun!!!
