Hello All - fixing up an 84

Hello all!

Just stopped in to say hi and I'm gald I found this great site. I'm in the process of putting some serious makeup on our 84 International and happened accross this site.
After sitting idle (negleted ) for the last 7 years I couldn't walk past the ol girl anymore without feeling guilty, that and wanting to slow this life down just a tad, we, the wife and I, decided to get started on her....so here we are....and happy to be a part of those who understand.

God Bless

Dan

Michigan

Michigan has a great group that gets together here on the forums, and also at rallies. Look up the Metro Detroit rally on the rally calendar. That will be coming up July 31-Aug.2. They are friendly and have lots of experience with remodeling and refurbishing lots of different kinds of Airstreams. We hope you will have time to stop by the rally and visit some of us. There will be an awesome potluck on Sat. and an open house so that you can see the way folks have redone their rigs on the inside. That is lots of fun!
We plan on being there, as will a few more Ohioans!
Welcome to the forums!

Dear Grandpapa. I was born in Caro way back when. I remember the snow being up to my kneew when I was little. We are new at this and are excited to be taking two of our 6 grands camping for the first time in two weeks. If you decide to take her out of state and head south we would love to meet you!

Welcome to the group. You can find out anything Airstream here. If you don't see something just start a thread and ask. God only knows that I have started enough, every time I try something new and panic.

Thank you all for the kind welcome and the invite to the Carolinas. The wife and I actually spent two weeks touring NC and the surrounding states a couple of years ago on the Harley.....it would be real easy to move that way.

We will be doing a comple re-do of the AS so I'm sure I'll be spending many hours researching what others have tried and succeded at. I plan to strip and recoat the exterior at some point but we will be putting her to use again first.

Thanks again

Dan

Dan,

By golly, welcome to the forums! Not fair giving the A/S a bath before photos. Look at my photos back when a friend found my A/S for me - green is such a lovely color. Have to admit, I certainly did not drag it home looking like that.
