Hello all

Just dropping in here to see what's going on in the world of Airstreams. It has been a dream of mine for years to own one of those silver bullets and I am nearing its fruition.

I am looking to learn about owning and towing an Airstream before I jump in. The tow vehicle I currently own is a 2003 Toyota Tundra V8 and I hope it will do the job.

Can't wait to meet some of you, but I am going to sit back and read first. Talk at all of you later,

-The Flyin' Eyeball.

Welcome Flyin' Eye,

Glad you're with us. There's plenty of reading ahead of you here and hopefully you can find some rallies nearby to attend.

Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The Tundra will do the job for most Airstreams.

You're in the happy hunting ground for gently used Airstreams. There are two "Airstream Only" parks in Texas where you'll find many retiree units. Of course, there comes a time when those units are up for sale. I've visited three such parks over the years and at every one there were units for sale. In the drier south west there are fewer problems with floor rot too. Also Airstream of Arkansas is one of the best in the country - A bit of a trip for you - depending on where in Texas you are. I hope you've found the classifieds here. Again a good place to start.

Good luck finding your first Airstream!

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

flyin' eye, Welcome to the forums. Have you thought about taking in a rally. Great people and you can learn a lot about "owning and towing an Airstream". Looks like there is one in Texas in December. Take a look here. Drop 87MH a note I'm sure you will be more then welcome.
