Just collected my 1965 Tradewind, having purchased it at the beginning of Feb from Texas USA, shipped it to the UK, had it collected from Southampton and taken for a few conversions (to allow us to use it legally here), we then towed her home.

She is beautiful, in good original condition (with original couch covers still with the Airstream tags on them, the original shower curtain albeit a bit crispy but great to use as a pattern and all original curtains, some needing a bit of attention) and after a couple of days cleaning inside, a good polish and packed up with all our needs she should be ready for her first of many trips to various motor racing circuits around the UK - our business is restoring, preparing and racing historic race cars so she should fit in beautifully - I cannot wait to show her off!

Looking forward to learning from you fellow airstreamers!

Any tips on polishing?

Congratulations with your new tradewind, she looks to be in great condition. It's quite a process to get an old airstream over there, I just drove about 2 hours to get mine but it looks like yours is ready for the road already.
good luck Doug

It's not worth doing if you're not having fun.
