Happy Campers

Hello everyone!
We are the very happy new owners of a 25' 2002 Airstream Classic. We named our trailer "Shirley Valentine". "Shirley" is in honor and memory to my mother. "Valentine" refers to Valentines day, the day we actually found our trailer and made contact with the seller. It was a long and exhaustive search, but when we found her, we knew this was the one. There is a comedy/drama play and movie called "Shirley Valentine" and it is somehow fitting my mom and I loved the movie. We plan to have an engraved nameplate fixed to the trailer. Mom will be with us in spirit, exploring the wonders of the great outdoors. We found this site about a year ago, and have visited often, reading, learning, dreaming, & searching. We find it to be a wonderful exchange of knowlege and camaraderie. Now that the "dream" is a reality, we are even more grateful that this site exists to help us in our learning curve.

Congratulations! The movie and the trailer are both classics. Great name. If we ever see you at a meet, we'll pop by for "chip & egg"!

Arlene and Bob,
Welcome to the forums and it is nice to hear your found "your" Airstream. You mention getting a plaque made to place on the trailer. Have you considered getting the trailer "lettered" instead? It harkens back to the older days of Airstreaming, but I think it is really cool and we will be getting our coaches lettered this spring.

Take a look at this thread and you will see what I mean...

I do like the idea of having the trailer "lettered" it is wonderfully nostalgic. Thank you for the link! I also like the idea of a personalized screen door, like Clancy boy had done. Decisions...decisions!!
