Greetings From The Newbie/Oldbie

Hello everyone,
I have been lurking for quite a while and have absorbed much from the wealth of knowledge on this site. Just a brief moment to say thanks. Tomorrow I am going to probably pick up a 31' (1972) excella. Needs work on the interior but, I fear no evil. I have tools, time, space, and patience. All systems are operational w/ no sag or droop. Axles should be just fine for the trek home. Famous last words. Who cares if they die after that. Just replace em. (Roughly 350 miles give or take.) Rear bed and cental bath unit and the skin is in decent shape. No major dents or holes. The usual deterioration as expected. It has been raining here in Calif. for a few days and no interior moisture to report. I will post pics a.s.a.p.
Newbie..........

Radman,

Welcome. What part of CA? It would be nice if you allowed just that one piece of info to show in public window in your posts. I push for this because some posts are more relevant to members if they are nearby, IMHO. Congrats on the find. If you find you need parts, I'll be parting out an Ambassador in Mojave in late Feb or early Mar. See it here

Good luck on a safe trip home.

and there is a rally

in 29 palms next month, you could bring your new to you trailer and get lots of questions answered. Check the rally thread if you are interested.

Followed by a second to a shameful plug for the rally. But really, the rally is a great place to start.
