Greetings from Oklahoma

My wife and I are the proud new owners of 1971 Overlander. We've been out in it twice and love it. I have a friend who owns one of those monster diesel pushers that costs more than my house. When we got our Airstream he told his wife he wanted to go look at new RV's. I said it was because he was jealous of our Airstream. After all, no one says, "Ooh, look at that Winnebago Journey. Man, those are cool. I want one." As you all know, when you are towing an Airstream, people definitely notice you. I look forward to many years together. I appreciate the existence of this forum. I've already learned a lot from the posts. I hope to be able to contriubute myself.

RogueArtist,

Congrates on the AS and you are correct that there is nothing like them. My Dad always wanted one and even though he never owned one it was the pinnacle of travel trailers for him and as a result me too. I have a 31 foot Excella that is yet to be towed but is undergoing renovation and should be ready by next summer.

Glad to see another Okie here too.

Dan

Oh Boy! Another Oklahoma AS. Welcome to the Forum. I live right up Route 66 from you. I know what you mean about people noticing you. When you're pulling an Argosy they really look at you and your "Painted Airstream" Send us pictures, we love pictures.

Welcome and congrat's. When we pass an SOB, my wife and I always say, "Wow look at that Coleman... Cool look at that Terry, Check out that Dutchman...." and we each have a brief chuckle.

Thank you to all for the welcome. Glad to see some Okies here. Here is a recent camping picture. My buddy's Winnebago is in the background. This is in Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas panhandle. It was our first trip.

Well, I am actually a graphic designer. My work is mostly commercial and advertising. I've also laid out a few magazines and newspapers. If you are intrested in my work, check out:
