Rivet Greetings From New Member - PRATTMAN

Greetings from beautiful Foresthill, Ca. My wife Angela, our two boys (ages 6 & 3) are the proud new owners of the most beautiful piece of junk, a 25' 1952 Caravan "Cruiser". She was in a Misourri feild for the last 18 years used as a storage shed. She's pretty rough, but our family has rallied to invest the time, sweat and $ it will take to get her back in working order. Our plan is to do a frame off refurbishment. With respect to the original look and feel, we will incorporate some modern features. Our theme is 1952 Ansel Adams - Yosemite. This site has already been very informative and we look forward to further advice as we plug along. Here are a couple pics and we will update through out the process.

Very cool trailer ... I'm new but extend a welcome as well. I read here for at least a month before I got my AS. Tons of great info!

Good luck with it Prattman! You might want to hit a restoration rally somewhere...the 4CUnit Restoration Rally will be held in early June 2010 in ABQ, NM... It's a winner!

In the meantime, have a blast...

Prattman, you've taken on quite a new 'Hobby'...should be a 'fun' project to keep you busy for a long while...

BTW, we used to have friends that lived in Yankee Jim's - in fact they had the property that the Historical Monument is placed on...haven't been up in that exact neck of the woods for many years...we have done some camping this year off of Ice House Rd, north of Hwy 50, not all that far from you guys...

Enjoy your new toy...

Ray near Stockton
