Hello everyone--Greetings from Cape Cod!

I am pleased to be a member of the Airstream Forum and hope to learn as much as I can from your experience and expertise -- many thanks for your patience. I am Airstream fan and have been for a LONG time. The plan is purchase one a year from now when I turn 65 years old. I am a working professional who loves spending vacation time in Montana and Wyoming. Right now I an knee deep in research mode for the right size Airstream and towing vehicle. I am basically on my own in this venture...learning from scratch. One of the first big questions is....a FORD 150 or 250?

In searching for an Airstream it is best to put the cart before the horse.

I would decide on which and what size Airstream, before worrying about what horse to buy, you may not require a Clydesdale.

Also keep in mind what other uses you might have for you tow vehicle. If you plan on using it for a lot of other driving, the 150 is more attractive since it is easier to handle and gets better mileage. If you plan on using it for moving heavy stuff around, the 250 becomes more attactive. Also, your preference for mountainous areas might tip the balance towards something with a bit more oomph. Consider a diesel. They don't get wheezy on high mountain passes.
