I have always admired the graceful Airstream lines. My 9-year old daughter is hot - (my wife is sadly not having had poor childhood experiences) for the idea of a restored Airstream trailer or motorhome to add to the car collection which includes a 93 Porshe C2 Cab, a 64 Rolls Cloud III, an 87 Buick T-Turbo WE4 (Grand National) and a 90 Mitsubishi Montero LS (the beater.)

We are at the learning looking stage. My guess is that I will look for a truly restored 50's-70's 16-22 ft travel trailer or motorhome - Vintageairstream.com has a good price guide and condition is clealy important....If It made economic sense I might also consider restoring a shell.....

Disinterested, well-meaning advice appreciated. I have a spot available in an RV park on my favorite trout stream in the Catskills. I may rent while I am looking so I don't rush. My wife might be more supportive of the motorhome than the trailer....

my second trailer is sitting on a house front in Little Falls as I write. I've lifted a particularly fine one from under your nose. The secret is to keep looking, keep learning and keep engaging until you know you've found the right one.
You'll hang me for this but have you tried bartering with the wife! Tell her you'll get rid of her least favourite car(s) if she agrees!
There was a survey done over here that concluded that people who drive Porsches are twice as likely to be adulterers! Personally, I'd keep it: I love dropheads(Saab 900 Turbo Cab).
The 64 Cloud is a classic: The first generation of the User/Owner configured Royces* - more comfort up front. Is it the two-tone silver? Can you imagine one of them towing a Bambi - CUTE!!
The other two I can't comment on so unless you fathered your children in either or both of them I'd offer them up as a sacrifice!

*RRs have traditionally been referred to as Rolls. As someone who lived close to their factory in my teens(we used to see the prototypes driving past our school) and knowing some of the guys who worked there. RRs should always be referred to as Royces! Rolls was the money man. Royce was the engineer who insisted on perfection! The Sir Henry Royce foundation is based near Towcester(pronounced Toaster) in Northamptonshire. They will have a production record of every car made. If you can get over here you can sit in the library and read the production notes - every build was a story.

Oh yes, I can see the Cloud III with a small AS in tow. However a properly set up MOHO with a beafy hitch could tow the Porsche to the fun spots.
I'm biased in regard to MoHo's but the Cloud III would be great... unless you could trade it in on a Phantom... heck if you had a Phantom you could camp in it.
