Greetings from a New Airstream owner

Greetings,

My wife and I recently purchased a 2009 Airstream Classic 27FB in Buda Texas. We retire in Sep 2019 and plan to start full-time RVng. Looking forward to some awesome times.

We have learned a lot from all the conversations on this site. Hope to contribute in the future.

Welcome to the forum. The 27s seem to be a great solution when a bit more space is needed. Wise choice. Like it much better than the 25s.

A few shake down trips should get you tuned up and ready to roll. Lots of great info on the site. Research well. It does make a difference in the adventure.

Most important skill to develop is an attentive driving style while towing.

Travel safe and search out the pie and the smiles. Pat

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulation on your new baby. May you have safe travels and many great Airstream Adventures with her.

The 27FB is a great floor plan. You will find it very livable for long stints on the road.

Brian

Welcome to the forum!

You may already be familiar with areas around you, but check out the recommendations of places to see in Texas as this thread:

Staying close your first trip is a good shakedown opportunity before venturing far away.

I too wish to welcome you to the Airstream community. I'm glad to hear you have done some learning here on Air Forums. I find it a great site for all things Airstream.

Full timing is a big change. There are many "blogs" or threads here on Air Forums that well describe this new way of living. Your Classic will keep you very comfortable.
