Greetings - 57 Overlander Restorer

Greetings all...

I'm restoring a 57 Overlander and will be pestering you folks with veritable potpourri random questions and resources. Over 400K on the trailer with only one previous owner (Ted and Mary Able). A few battle scars that only years of good lovin' can produce. Went all over North and South America and did a few Caravans, too.

Currently polishing, polishing, polishing and when I'm not doing that I do a little polishing for a break from the polishing.

Right now I'm looking for:
- a 14x14 alum vent to replace the stocker. Could also use two lifts for it. Any suppliers, parts yards, or reproductions in aluminum?

- Need a replacement heater vent cover piece - aluminum. Somewhere in the realm of 6.5" or so?

- Looking for an aluminum refrigerator vent cover. The stock one is the big rectangle, but I'm considering downsizing it and putting on the aluminum simple curve piece that I've seen on 60's models. I found a painted fiberglass one, but prefer aluminum.

Welcome Dave and your '57 Overlander too. First off, post some pictures, we all love those. Second, those 14 x 14 aluminum Hehr vent covers are hard to come by but there's always someone who is putting in a fantastic Fan and will have the vent cover available. As for lifters, InlandRV has those, They're different looking from the originals but function as the the originals. Shoot and post some pictures of your fridge and heater covers so we can see what you're referring to.
