You may be a little short on power with the 1/2T.......especially in the I see the 25'FBSE is 7500 GVWR. The rule of thumb is not to exceed about 75% of tow capacity of vehicle.....which would be about 5900#. So you're right on the bubble. My 2500 AV is rated at about 14,000 and am pulling a 28' with GVWR of 7300#. I have no trouble pulling in the mountains. I also have the power extending mirrors, which I really like.
I picked up a 2007 AV brochure the other day, and I see they're no longer making the 2500 with the 8.1 liter engine.......only the 5.3 V8.
You might be able to get a good buy on a used 2500.....what with the fuel prices and all. They're a nice ride if you can afford the gas (which I assume you can with the new 25' FB SE)!

Congrats-nice setup!
I have a pair of CIPA mirrors from our 04 Suburban that should fit your AV.
Only used them once and then upgraded to a 3/4 ton, which has tow mirrors.
PM me if interested...

Thanks Jim for the truck info. That is one niiice AV you've got there. We're gonna take it slow and there's only one mtn. pass we have to go over and it's not much of a climb. Most likely, we'll upgrade the truck after a few short trips.
