Good Morning from Pensacola

Hello Everyone!
My name is James and I live in Pensacola, FL. I recently purchased a 2020 26ft Flying cloud. I am tremendously excited! I have wanted an Airstream since I was a child listening to my grandmother talk about Airstreams and how badly she wanted one. Every time she and I would travel, she always pointed out 'that beautiful Airstream' on the road .
I am 45 now and 'It's my Turn!'
I'm a solo-streamer, and Landscape Garden Designer by trade. The 26ft Flying Cloud was a perfect fit for me. My portable design table fits perfectly on the centered dinette, with my 180' panoramic view for inspiration to sit and draw my Landscape Garden Designs. I am looking forward to meeting fellow Airstreamers.

And good morning to you from South Central PA! And welcome aboard. It's great to have you on the forum. It's a wonderful place to learn and share.

And welcome to the world of streamin'. Have you joined the AS Club? I would highly recommend it as a place to meet people and share experiences. There are many active units in FL.

Best wishes and happy and safe travels!

Hi, James-
Congratulations, and greetings from south Georgia! My wife and I purchased our first Airstream a couple months ago, and I have found this forum to be invaluable for answers to the many questions/problems that have popped up.
I realized early on there is no dumb question-

Hi and welcome from Colorado: You are correct, these Forums are a wealth of information for us vintage Airstream enthusiasts. Your 65 Caravel 17' is a very popular vintage Airstream. It seems the smaller they are, the more people like them. Cute I guess.

You will have to post some pictures of your trailer when you are ready. Here is a photo of my former 66 Trade Wind 24'. It was a very nice trailer indeed.

Welcome!

I am also from Pensacola and my Airstream, my Grandmother's 1975 Overlander 27, is in Lillian AL over on Perdido Bay. It needs some TLC before I bring it back to Atlanta with me.

As a side note, the local Wally Byam Unit is at the Mystic Springs campground right off of Hwy 29 on the Escambia river between Cantonment and Century, that is the same location the local unit had its rallies in 1975 when my Grandparents joined, Im assuming its the same family.
