G'Day From The Aussies

My wife and I have just purchased a lovely old '76 Argosy 28 with the twin panoramic windows. We spent months looking for this kind of trailer and had to drive to a blizzard-ridden Massachussetts to get it!

First day back in Georgia and we have started to clean it up a bit. Needless to say when you start opening things up to have a look, you also crack open all those cans of worms! Parts of the floor have rotted from what appears to be over-repaired water lines, and there are also doubts about some of the gas appliances. But this is why you buy a vintage Airstream right!!?? To make it yours and know about every nook and cranny within that sturdy aluminium.

We want to take it home to Australia in 3 years time, but until then we are planning to just keep her running with some band-aids, until we do some more in depth overhaul to get it up to Australian standards.

If anyone has experience in converting Airstreams to 240V and all the other foreign design rules that go along with that, your help would be appreciated.
