Gary and Joanie new members

Hello,
I'm Gary and my wife is Joanie and we just purchased a 2007 25' Safari LS SE. We are excited about it but we purchased impulsively. We heard that they are good trailers and hope that is the case since we didn't do much homework. In any case, we glad to be here.

Welcome to the Forums

Hi Gary,

I am sure you will love your new trailer. You must bring the new rig to a NorCal/California Streamer rally to show it off. Plus you will get all kinds of valuable Airstream advice. Check out the rally threads under Forum Rallies. Our rallies are a blast and everyone always has a fantastic time.

Hi Gary
Welcome to the club....we did the same thing! One big impulse purchase...wait two big impulse purchases...we had to buy a new Yukon to pull our 25 footer! We've taken her out twice and are having a blast. Have you pulled a 25 footer before?
Good luck
Dennis

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. This is the place to have your Airstream questions answered.

We also have a Safari LS 25FB; ours is a 2005 model. Check out a thread I started called, '05 Safari - 1 year assessment. It contains a lot of information on an Airstream just like yours.

Hi Gary. Welcome to the world of Streamers !
If you haven't noticed, I'm just up the road from you in Lakewood. Suni and I have had our AS for two years now and we really enjoy the use of it.

As you may or may not have noticed buy there's a Airstream getogether in July. July 20-22 to be exact. California Streamers is having a get together. Hope you can make it. It'll be our first with the gang.

Check it out at: http://www.airforums.com/forums/cale...-20;&e=353&c=1

The price is right ($22 bucks for FULL hookups) and it's not that far away.

In any case, Welcome aboard !

right

Exactly,
but as I don't want you to feel bad I raise Wayne&Sam offer : half of the price you paid for plus 1 buck...

Anyhow here nobody like Airstream so you don't find any back up...

Hi Gary&Joanie,
Congrats on your Airstream~!
Before the mist of the " impulsive buy" clouds settles..
Make sure you and your wife do another good walk thru on your new unit.
Did the dealer where you bought the unit give you a good through walk thru on the functions of everything? Check and try everything, even the awning..
Make sure you fill out all of the warranty papers in the owner's bag, as your warranty period start the day you bought the unit. (not when you turn them in..) You didn't say if you're a "first timer" in camping or trailer ownership?
This site has a huge wealth's of information, as you may already know.
Don't be afraid to ask for help and, certainly don't be a stranger..
Again, CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH.
ciao

Nothing wrong with your impulsive buy. It will give you years of enjoyment. I impulsively bought a '77 Excella 500 31' seven years ago and found it to be longer than I needed. I ran across a 2 hour old post on Airstream List for an '86 Sovereign 25', contacted the buyer who provided pictures, talked to someone who had seen the trailer (great trailer they said) and bought it the next day after a trip to the bank. The 31' was sold a few months later and is in Germany now. I've had the Sovereign for 3 years now and am working on improving it in a number of ways i.e. solar power, inverter, etc.

Sorry for the confusion

I registered under Gary and Joanie but my daughter came home from college and said the as was the ugliest thing she has ever seen(what do college kids know). In any case, she squealed we are not going camping in that tinboy. I thought that was a good name so I re-registered under Tinboy. Sorry for confusion

Hi Tinboy,

Don't feel to bad, my three daughters are convinced that I have "Lost it". Going on a little better than a year a getting into it deeper every day. The good news is that even with the sideways looks they give me, they still will climb aboard for trips, amazing considering two are 15!

Please do check out the forum rallys, the friends you will make is worth it by itself, the bonus is the help you will get in learning all about aluminitus...the most common malady contracted at the rallys and on the forum.

Impulsive buys

If we had a buck for every impulsive buy of an Airstream, we would have a lot of money.....funny thing....they are addictive but as addictions go, it could be a lot worse. You will love your Tinboy....... don't even think of loaning it to your daughter........welcome to the forum......hope to see you on the road. pj
