Found a 64 Safari

Hi people, great site you have here. I rescued a 1964 Safari from a dusty death a few days ago. Ive always wanted an Airstream, and this one is perfect for us. Im going to build it into an edit suite with a lounge/bar, and it will easily convert to a sleeper for camping trips. Its a blank canvas inside, which is what i was searching for. Its missing some Glass, door hardware, and access panels, but I'm sure ill have it all eventually.

Ooohh We love a project communicated with pictures!! Good luck with new trailer, and don't be discouraged when it looks like more than you initially bargained for.. Several great resources in your area, including Inland RV or S&G as authorized repair shops for parts and factory service, plus Uwe's "Area 63 Productions" for creative and high quality renovations.. "It can be done, but it just takes longer and more money than they said it would.."(Famous quote by somebody...)

thank you. i am the king of "more than you bargained for". i just about stole this trailer, so i won't cry too much about pouring $$ into it for the renovation.

Congrats and welcome! Love those big windows up front, someone's done some modifications on your door, that porthole is a little low to be useful!

it looks to me that the door is from an earlier year, and yes, also for a midget
