Greetings from Colorado. Welcome to these Forums and the vintage Airstream hobby. Our home states are so completely different. The great USA has so many nice places to visit. A vintage Airstream makes traveling very enjoyable.
Congratulations on your 70 Ambassador 29' International. I recently looked at a 79 Ambassador with a side lounge, twin bed layout that I liked. But the trailer needed too much work for me to handle (frame repair).
So I purchased a 75 Overlander 27' also International trim level. This trailer also needs repairs. My Overlander does have "rear end separation" as many of these 70s trailers have. I am repairing it right now. I enjoy working on vintage Airstreams and making them "travel ready" with a solid chassis, improved plumbing, heating, fabric goods, appliances and the like. I'm no good at "restorations" where hobbyists make their trailer new like it left the factory. Here is a photo of my trailer while I towed it home.
You'll have to post a picture of your new Ambassador soon.
