First Time AS

Hello all. My wife and I picked up our Flying Cloud 25FB yesterday and setup camp for the first time about 20 miles down the road at a KOA. Not only is it our first RV but our first towed vehicle of any kind. I was nervous as heck but with a good demo from the dealer and some coaching, we made it safely and set up without incident (though I think I may be tilting slightly forward, need a torpedo level). First night in the trailer was great and look forward to many more.

Welcome to great new adventures! As a former scoutmaster I loved camping but the wife didn't like sleeping on the ground. Now we both get to enjoy the great outdoors together with her bull dog Beasley.

Nice rig! I hope that's the sales lot and not the KOA you're at! 😳 😀

Ours (in 2012) was the first trailer and first towable thing of any kind too. I was scared to death but we took an RV Safe Drivers course the first weekend we had it at a local CDL center and that helped us tremendously.

Happy, safe and fun camping!!

Picture is from the sales lot, and thank you everyone. I'll have to look for the safe drivers course.

Awesome, welcome to the wonderful, if expensive world of camping.

Remember to use a spotter with prearranged hand signals when reversing, and always have your spotter looking up, as well as to the sides.

Cheers
Tony

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

I remember the first time I pulled a travel trailer. I was also scared but just as I was contemplating the next step a gentleman who looked to be in his eighties, pulled in with a "big" fifth wheel. I thought, "If he can do so can I" and so I did.

Just curious where you bought your AS?

Enjoy and remember that it's the journey, not just the destination!

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle, alyhough we're in Nova Scotia right now

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on your new baby. May you have safe travels and many great Airstream Adventures with her.

In a pinch, you can level the Airstream using the bathroom door. Open the door half way. If it doesn't move, your good. If it does, adjust accordingly.

Brian
