First time Airstream owner & first mistake

While pulling my 1996 34 foot Airstream (center kitchen - rear queen) through a very tight Ga State Park, I ran over a medium size bolder that on the road side, just in front of the first/front tire, I severly crushed 2 copper gas lines. I am guessing one goes to the hot water heater, as the hot water heater will light the pilot light, but no rushing flame to heat the tank. I am also guessing the other line is for the kitchen stove, but I have not tested the stove. I am handy with tools and have spliced copper lines before. Any suggestions & advise.

Ouch. Any pictures for reference? Are you camping right now? Obviously you are not going to want to try using the LP appliances, since your regulator isn't going to be able to provide the right pressure, due to the crimped lines. So it stands to reason that you'd have enough for the pilot light, but not enough to fuel the burner. Pictures would sure help, but I'd be inclined to start where the main supply branches off, and effect the repair from that point, if multiple branches are damaged, rather than just splicing in a section. Fewer joints, fewer chances for leaks later.

I agree, follow the line back to the upstream connection and replace it. You will need to use a flair tool to get the ends to seat correctly. Double fair is the industry standard.
