First time Airstream owner & 2nd mistake

Yes it is me again. After reviewing all the posts on this site, I determined that my refegerator was shot. Strong amonia smell from both freezer & ref. I have order a replacement from Palomino Parts at a super price (1/3 of what an Airstream dealer sells them for).

I have been told it is a manual labor, rather simple installation. Any helpful hints, suggestions or advise. The current ref. is a Dometic BR3807 & the new replacement is a Dometric RM2820.

My cell # is 404 713-2330, yes that is an Atlanta, GA #.

Thnak you an advance.

Go to Harbor Freight if you have one, and get an ATV jack. When you have to slide out the fridge it gives you a nice broad platform that you can raise and lower as needed. They aren't overly expensive & you can use them for other things later. Forum member John_HD did a Dometic refer repair and posted some great pics. I've done this too. It is not overly difficult, with a modicum of mechanical inclination.
