Steve,

A Dodge Ram with the Cummins and a 30' Classic S/O. You do have good taste. When I saw mine soon to be my S/O I didn't even know they made a S/O. Got inside and went OH BOY!

We got ours this January had to drive a whopping hour or so each way to pick it up. But I would have enjoyed a trip back to the Sooner State, we spent 3 years there.

Before you get a chance to make the Classic S/O mistake and get reminded about it quite definitevly here on AF.

Level, Stabilizers down THEN PUSH THE SLIDE OUT BUTTON!!!!!!!! Never w/o the stabilizers.

My recommendation to anyone on I-40 or I-35 in OKC, get off and go downtown to visit the Murrah Building Memorial. We saw it after the massive clean up and watched it the next 3 years.

Regards,

Gary

Welcome Steve!! I have a 30' Classic sans the SO. It's a great model and you will have a lot of fun. And the absolute most fun you can have is to join a rally. Nothing like it. The next Norcal rally in October is already booked but you could get on the standby list. And there is always the Spring rally at Casini next April in which there is always room. This is the greatest group of people you would ever hope to meet. Just look at the pics on page 46, 47, and 48 on the rally thread. Hope to see you at a Norcal rally with the new rig!!

Thank you Gary,

OK, But now I need to know; What will happen if I do this wrong? (I may have already) I just need to understand the problem better.

Also I love this truck, wanted to get one while I still can....

Thank you,

Steve

Steve,

One of the Senior Members might be the best to answer the "what if" about the S/O W/O stabilizers down, but you can think about an unsupported side load applied to the frame.

When I joined I put a picture of mine up at the DEALER W/O the stabilizers down and the slide out, OH BOY!!!!.

Just don't do it.

The Dodge, have you looked at www.tdr1.com for a dedicated Dodge Diesel forum?

Safe Travels.
