First Airstream, Finally

I've wanted a vintage AS for about ten years and finally found one in my budget that wasn't completely thrashed. Woohoo! My fiancé and I drove to Bisbee, AZ yesterday and towed home our 1973 Overlander. We plan to fix it up Space Odyssey style, or something like that--although we are torn because the bathroom is in great original condition. Our greater concern at the moment, however, is that, ding-dong, we just realized the dull exterior is not oxidized but painted silver. Craigslist is from HELL!!! Anyway, about me, I'm an eternal grad student at the UA and my dude is retired from the Air Force. I will post some pics of our new baby shortly...

Signed,
Yours truly,
Born Yesterday

Some '73 models were painted at the factory. Not saying yours was, but some were.
It does look like the clearcoat has blistered and turned white in your exterior picture.

Congrats and welcome aboard the forum.
Your patience has been rewarded. Nice looking Overlander. I agree, keep the bathroom.
