Don't think it's so much about where it's made, but where it's towed. In England the Port side would be the curb side. Same trailer in the US, the Starboard side would be the curb side.

Think about it.

I'm a boater too...perhaps this would explain why I get funny looks when I tie up at the dock? Must be the beer.

Another boater here...we are going to try and do both for a while. Lets see how long it lasts...We just picked up our first AS last month and I'm estimating 6 months of remodeling and polishing till we go camping.

dBoat-

Congrats to the hometown of S2 Yachts; we loved ours as much as you will love the AS...ps, if you get the EB, you can load a boat from the rear of the AS.

Welcome aboard. I spent decades doing both off shore and lake sailing before switching to land yachts in retirement. Most of the same rules apply except there is no shore leave. Be self sufficient when it comes to repairs - critical items can be prevented through regular maintenance and the others will happen when you are farthest from your tools unless you bring them along. I especially enjoyed my longer voyages between continents but at least the Stream provides more frequent encounters with others than distant ports. You will quickly discover the aluminum crowd is quite similar.

Thanks, interesting you say S2 . We loved our Tiara and were very surprised that the tt market had only one stand out brand in regard to quality and fit and finish. We looked first at the white cubes and almost changed our minds about land yachting.
Also we will continue to call the place we sleep the Stateroom. I used the term "head" at the dealer and got only an odd look. Also why no Vacuflush toilets on trailers?

Yes, we use the terminology interchangeably as well ... treat your new AS as you did your Tiara and you will be a very happy land yachter ... fore, aft, stbd, port, head, galley, yaw, pitch, roll, leeward, windward, cabin, locker, berth, lines... although we tend more towards aviation / aeronautical lines ...LOL

Funny...but true! Every time I get in the AS I find I'm running back to Home Depot or Lowe's because I forgot something...thinking about moving the AS to Home Depot parking lot. I've removed the rear bath, now building a stand up shower and vanity with vessel sink so that the sink isn't so low. The rest of the trailer is in good shape. New Dometic refer, clear up all the windows and I'm on my way!

I'm going to head over to Melbourne, FL this weekend to see some vintage AS at the 2nd annual vintage weekend. Hope to talk to some good folks.
