E. Washington state: good AS dealers???

Any comments on Airstream dealers in Eastern Washington state? I would like to get to know one that I can trust to give me honest evaluations of the merchandise they have for sale. I would think dealers are capable of evaluating the condition of used trailers, but will they pass that along to a prospective buyer without, "coloring," the information?

We've heard some pretty strange goings on with the tax-advantaging dealers in Montana -- not very interested in Airstreams specifically... On the contrary we've heard much better things about Airstream of Spokane. Look up http://www.airforums.com/forum...aryn-5611.html. I've respected Karyn's input here on the forums and a number of members have affirmed that impression.

There is only one dealer in Eastern Washington. Airstream of Spokane.
I have met and talked with the owners and I have developed a respect for them. Answered all of my questions and were a great help with some problems. I haven't heard a complaint from anyone on the forums. The West side dealers are another story for another time.

Now isn't that interesting.....

Hmmm. Thanks. This is interesting. I had intentionally not mentioned, "Spokane," even though I spoke to Karyn there at some length today on the telephone. And they being the only E WA dealer does not surprise me. Karyn also seemed to show up on the, "member's map," elsewhere here, listing herself as being a dealer. I had been impressed with her helpfulness and attitude on the telephone. And I also recognize that, occasionally, a dealership will actually be a good one.....honest and helpful - they get future business that way. ( ! )

And the, "West Side?" I generally stay away from there for many reasons.

Canoe.... curious remark about Montana. (A place I actually like and frequent often...have family there).

Thanks, I'll give a close ear to Spokane Airstream.

Dennis.........not sure what's going to happen next.........

The deal in Spokane...

Thanks again.

Spokane has a 1987 25' Sovereign for about $14,000. More than we initially wanted to spend but after looking at the 1969 model today I think we would be ahead to find the extra money to get something newer. I've got enough to work on here that is really old. ('49 GMC grain truck, Oliver tractor, railroad speeder)

So I think we'll head to Spokane tomorrow. I really don't know fully how to evaluate the Sovereign but I'll take a stab at it. If the dealership is what I'm now hearing they should talk pretty straight about it. No one can know full history on a 20 year old piece of equipment, but they ought to have a good idea.

Not sure how that price is.....

Thanks again....Oh, dieter, have friends in Montana....Hamilton, Stevi, etc. Grown too much there for us now though.

I cannot say enough good about Airstream of Spokane. They sell nothing but airstream and know the products well. Support, even though I did not buy my AS there has been outstanding. I cannot say that about some of the other dealers I have encountered.

If I ever need to buy another new AS it will be from them.

Bretz in Missoula is another story. I went to them with a problem and they made it my problem. They only sell Safari's and that is all they are interested in selling.
