Dream Come True

Just purchased our Airstream in August, we are completely new to trailering. I was just bursting with excitment and pride, like having your first child.

I remember growing up going camping with my parents and sister and along the way my dad would always point out the Airstream trailers and tell us how they were the finest out there.

I have been intrigued ever since and now I am the proud owner of one! We have only been on 3 trips so far, but have great things planned for next year.

I keep that feeling like a child on Christmas Eve waiting to see what Santa Claus brought.
I never get over that feeling.
We are now preparing to go home from the gulf coast and I am all edgy anticipating our Thanksgiving trip to one our favorite parks back home and the Canopener rally in January and the Magnolia Messenger rally in April and the Diana singing and factory tour in September and the Texas/Louisiana rally in October...
Chomping at the bits and raring to go...

We felt EXACTLY the same way in the spring of 2011 when we got ours. Like you, we were completely new to trailering, let alone the fantastic Airstream family experience. Hope to see you on the road.

What a Feeling

So it's not just me! I have been bitten by the Airstream bug.
Hope to meet other bitten owners next summer. During one of our trips coming home on the thighway, we saw another Airstream on the other side, we flashed our lights many times, and they flashed back! That was almost as exciting as our whole trip!

You might have it worse than me.
I was at the dealership at 8 am the day I picked up my trailer- it is 4 hours away...

How exciting! We are still waiting to get our first Airstream which I hope will be no more than 6 month away! I lay awake at night and arrange everything in our 27FB Eddie Bauer!! It's exhausting!! I'll be glad when we can actually buy one and I don't have to keep obessing! I'll tell you, you get that bug and can't get rid of it! I feel like the dealerships think I am stalking their websites! Just keep looking at the photos!! Have fun!

It's ALUMANITAS. No cure, but can be treated with high doses of more Aluminum.

Funny, the thing that causes the trouble is also the cure.

The only cure is to use the trailer every weekend...
Other wise detox is terrible.
Withdrawal symptoms are awful.
I am suffering now.
We have used ours for probably 14 weeks straight- now it will, sit still for a couple of weeks, and it's killing me.
Reason? Time change- it is already black dark when I get off work at 5. Hafta wait for a 3 or 4 day weekend to,go somewhere- Thanksgiving.
Then it will be parked another 6 weeks until Canopener.
Then it will be parked for 3 months until the Magnolia Messenger rally in April.

Sandlapper (AKA John)
I have been very happy with the flag holder. It's really art work done in metal. I hope all is well with your family. Merry Christmas and thank you again.
