Donp Needs Advice

Just Bought A 1975 26' Argosy Motor Home With 44,000 Miles On
The 454 Engine. I Bought It From The Second Owner Who Has Not
Used It For 9 Years. It Runs Good And I Had New Brakes Put O
It First Thing. The Old Retired Guy Knows Or Remembers Little
About It And I Have No Manuals. I Also Put In Two New Batteries.

My First Questions Is.....the Only Way I Can Get The Interior Dc
Lights To Come On Is To Turn The Ignition Key On. Does Not Matter
If The Ac Power Cord Is Plugged In Or Not. The Power Unit Located
Under The Dinnete Is Making A Humming Noise. Any Thoughts??

I Have Many Things To Do Including Checking All Appliances...roof
Top Air Works When Plugged In To Ac And Generator Works It As
Well.. My Windows Are Leaking Due To Rotted Rubber And Felt
Strips....can Windows Be Taken Out From The Inside Or Do You Just
Remove The Glass From The Frame To Replace Moldings??

Lastly....where Can I Get Good Manuals Or Advice On This Rv??

Hi Don,welcome to the forum.I have a 77 argosy.I went through the same thing you are going through. you will get some good directions here.I did.the power unit will hum.check to see if the ac power cord is hooked up while the generator is running.Is the gen on the right side and the ac power on the left side?The ac cord should be unpluged whie the gen is running.If it is like mine the ac power cord unplugs and there is another plug that you plug in to it's place.. also replace all belts and hoses and thermostat and antifreeze..
