Ntex, I don't know if you are referring to me or not, but we did order a new Classic. We got lucky and were able to get one originally ordered by another client that canceled. We should be getting it in about two weeks. Another Air Forum member Pagey, ordered their classic in January and they are about a week behind us - last we knew.

We're waiting for a question to come back from engineering (which will likely change the price a bit), but the order is basically ready to go and we left our deposit.

We're expecting it in July or August, although it could be here earlier than that.

I already warned the dealer-- the day he hands over the keys, I'm going to be so darned happy that I'll probably cry like a little girl. I get the feeling he's not unaccustomed to new owners getting a little teary-eyed, or even requiring a tether to keep them from floating away.

If any of those things should happen, I'll be sure that my spouse knows to get it on video.

Congrats. We have had ours for six years with NO regrets. You will love it. Wife and I were looking at the new ones on the Airstream web site the other day and loved the Salsa interior. Enjoy and breath into a paper bag to control the hyperventilation

I guess I'm relieved to hear they have an owner recovery plan in place!

However, if that's part of the owner retrieval plan, I think I'll do my best to remain firmly on the ground.

Going online to check out your new Airstream, if you are excited now, I can't imagine what you will be like on pickup day! I went out with grandkids this weekend, we had terrible weather, cold, rain, wind, but when you are snug inside playing cards with the grandies, you know you are in the right place and over the moon!

Seriously, do try to take a few deep breaths once the happy day arrives. Don't let the joy and wonders of a new toy lead you into a rush to get on the road. Take your time to videotape the moment, the walk through, and all the wonders of a new phase in life.

Make haste slowly....take time to smell the roses, and savor the moment. Use the checklists you have built, and enjoy! Just be careful and logical getting under way.

Thank you! It was love at first sight with the salsa ultra leather, and it just looks fantastic in the International Signature interiors. We've decided on a more colorful awning too.

The box of foil made it safely through the night-- no cuddling.
