Cleaning Day / Night Shades
We have a '03 Airstream Classic 30 ft. Any good hints on cleaning and refreshing Day / Night Shades and on the success of taking down the curtains and washing them?

I have an 03 Land Yacht Motor Home that I bought used a couple of years ago... stains and all. The galley night shade and the windshield curtain had what I thought was some pretty serious stains. A search on this site turned up things like taking them down, hosing, scrubbing with this or that... I tried Fantastic OxyClean it is one of those multipurpose cleaners (I like having one bottle of cleaner that does it all). It knocked out the stains no problem. Test your fabric per instructions.

Also try Mr. Clean sponges. They work great for small spots on the day nite shades.

curtains
We have a 34ft and we took down the curtains and washed them no problem... smells nice and fresh after the wash for sure. The day/nite shades were a little harder kinda just wiped the best i could but we did not have any stains...just some dust. We put the curtains back up damp and they look great. Have Fun!!

Cleaning Day Night Shades etc.
Thanks for the assurance re washing the curtains. Will tackle when we get back to Ontario. Incidentally, we know Oyster Bay Bridge ... one of our sons lives in Charlottetown! We'll look for your "Silver Bullet".

We will be easy to find we own Bayside RV Campground in Oyster Bed Bridge..... hope to see you this summer. We actually have two other AS's in the park who camp there seasonally.

We sent it to (baysidecampground@sympatico.ca) but it came back as "postmaster failure". We were looking for some information re your seasonal reservations / rates etc. Is there a glitch in the email address? Still interested!

washing curtains
I have washed my curtains a couple of times. I wash them in woolite and hang them out till they are almost day and hang them slightly damp. they look great.
