Lightbulb Chris - new 66 caravel

Hi I just purchased a 1966, 17' Caravel and was wondering inf anyone knows of a good trailer transporter to go from Fort Worth-Texas, to Seattle- Washington? I am looking for a company that specializes in transporting or a individual that can tow it.
Thanks!

Chris, I don't have a clue in response to your need for a transporter, but I trust this forum will come up with good suggestions for you. I'm just here to say welcome to the forum, and congratulations on finding a tiny jewel of an Airstream We hope you enjoy many miles of travel and lots of wonderful campouts with your new joy. What do you plan to name it? him? her???

Hi Chris,

Sorry, I don't have any transport company info either, but wanted to say welcome neighbor! Congratulations on your "new" Caravel!

CHRIS----WELCOME ABOARD!

If you are still looking for transport for your Caravel, contact "fabofabo", a member of this forum. He has from time to time offered his transport services on this forum. I think he lives in "so.cal.", do a search.

If that doesn't work, I know a local guy that is a licensed carrier that might be willing. He lives in north centeral Ore. and runs a fifth wheel behind a Dodge diesel. I don't know if he would be interested nor do I know his rates, but I could put you in touch with him if you like.

Good luck---Bob

If any of you new Caravel folks would like to come down to Oregon for the Newport Seafood and Wine festival, there will be two restored Caravel there for checking out. Mine and C Johnsons. We'd love to see you, even if it's just dropping by for a visit!

Make sure everyone goes to www.theVAP.com web site to look at the 65 Caravel restoration that Colin and team are working on.
