An 80" long bed in a 22 footer is by definition going to have to be a custom remodel as I do not think any original AS' of that size are going to have a bed of that length. So keep this in mind as you look. A stock unit is not going to give you what you want. The classifieds is a good place to start.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

As to your bed length issue, the Sport 22FB has an 84" long bed. There may be some other models where a several inch mattress extension could be added.

Ah, I stand corrected, 54" by 84" in the 22 FB. But since it's kind of narrow, that would probably not work for a couple where one person was 6' 4". The OP did not specify if he needed room for two.

For what it's worth, I'm 6'3" and have no issues with the "short queen" in our 27' FB. It's 75" long.

I do know one person who just put a regular queen mattress on the FB platform intended for the short queen and there is enough stiffness in the mattress for this to work. Of course, you have to be careful if you want to sit on the end of the bed since there is less support than one might expect for that, but sleeping is fine.
