Just got a 27 foot 69 Overlander International out of the woods of northern Maine. It's been sitting there for 13 years and is in good original condition. I am thinking this will be my retirement home, so will remove the interior, insulate well, upgrade all systems and reassemble. I will be designing a new interior (I'm a Kitchen Designer) and making it ready for my off grid property in Southern Maine. I expect to build a 'utility shed' that will house the solar electric, water and waste, and a shop/garage and will plug the AS into the systems. I probably will haul it to warmer climes in the winter, but do want it snug enough to be a good winter home as well.

A good plan. If you start in the Spring you can finish in the Summer and be ready for the test run next Winter.

Had a long talk with a tech at Efficiency Maine and we are exploring some interesting ideas on "super insulating" the trailer for year round living in Maine. As it develops I'll post progress reports. The trailer is to come out of the woods this week and I can't wait to get into action.
