Even more important than driving forward, backing up, reserving campsites, or trying to figure out how you locked yourself INSIDE your new Airstream.....😉...is to become a member of the WBCCI. Please consider joining this welcoming group. The rally’s and get togethers are a great way to meet other passionate owners, and you will receive a warm welcome and a ton of knowledge.

Welcome to Airforms and the Airstream Community. Lots of good info for new and old. Find info about the Airstream Club go to www.wbcci.org . You will be able to find a local unit in your area. You can attend a rally or event and meet a lot of like minded people. If you become a club member, "Wally" will take you places you never dreamed of. You'll have to visit or join the Airstream Club to find out who and more about "Wally". Safe travels. SEE YOU DOWN THE ROAD.
I just took out my Tommy Bahama for the first time this season and I have to say it’s a great having the rear hatch compared to my International. We went down the West Coast from Monterey to Santa Barbara and found a great use for it at every campsite. This feature should be made available on all Airstreams!!
Not sure what your towing experience is but you might want to consider renting a Uhaul and pulling it around town and practice backing up. Better to rub the tires on the Uhaul than your brand new Airstream.
I would go with the pull throughs to begin with. Just a little easier.
I am attaching two videos. The Loloho videos are great. Lots of good info. The one on backing up I really like. The only thing I do different is place my hand at 6 o' clock. Move your hand left and trailer goes left etc.

I'm assuming you are referring to the Airstream Club. Here (https://wbcci.org/) is a link. You will be directed to various geographical units. It's user friendly.
You might want to attend a local rally just to see what it is like before joining. Like all clubs there are benefits and some drawbacks. Our unit has been very helpful and fun.
