Bittersweet Hello
I've been on the site under another screen name, but when we retired, we got rid of the original email server and I'll be darned if I can recall my password... Duh.
Anyway, I logged back on as a new member for the sad purpose to sell our Rosie. With shoulder reconstruction, I just can't manage the chores of set up and take down without paying for it for a day or two. We'll probably downsize to a Class C Deisel Sprinter with more amenities, but way less cool factor.
A word about our Airstream family, though. It's been an honor. The friends we've made (and kept in touch with), the salutes passing on the road, the kindness... It's unmatched in the RV world.
If you're on this site as a newbie to learn about the Airstream culture and possibly dive into it, DO IT! You immediately become part of something that is both timeless and engaging. If you've been an Airstream owner for a while, well, I'm preaching to the choir.
So, if down the road a guy gets out of a non-Airstream and approaches you with a whistful look, that'll be me recalling the best days of our experience on the road.

Shoulders can be a bitch. How much are you asking for Rosie, I'm just up the road. Send me a PM if you wish.

Have you considered joining the NM or 4 Corners unit of WBCCI. I am a member of both and would be happy to help with set up take down. I'm sure other members would help too.

Well, after looking at tons of Class A's, Class C diesels, Class B's, and even some rugged trailer options, we have finally made a decision we feel real good about. We're staying in the family with a new Flying Cloud 26U and will be picking her up in about 2 weeks.

Everyone seems to refer to their trailer as "her". Surely there are some male trailers out there...

The dullest times of life are when we are Airstremless. Congrats!

Nope. They are all female, same as all boats are referred to as female.
I think it's the high maintenance part. Costs money to keep them in jewelry and paint...

I beg to differ on that. My first Airstream was a male. He's name was Twinke. He was too far gone for me so I sold him. He was high maintenance too. All Airstream are high maintenance weather it's a boy or girl!!!!
