aren't these trailers great
My name is Gord
I have always admired these trailers as a youth living just off the number 1 hwy. I saw droves of these caravans on there way to Alaska as they passed through Cache Creek BC Canada about 300 miles north of Vancover BC. As I saw these shiney trailers I told myself that I was going to own some day.... Then someday came my wife saw this add for a 26 foot Countess Streamline trailer we phoned the add, and went out to see it and decided that we had to have it. But to our dismay there was no paper work with it so I taged my 5th wheel trailer plate on the back and proudly towed our trophy home to Kamloops BC. Saving it from certain distruction as it was soon to be stript down to the frame and becoming a garbage dump trailer. Shorty after this I made friends with a insurance agent and she was a bear cat. when icbc told her the it was a 6 month time frame to invesigate and issue a new vin # and regastration# she growled back told them that this was unexceptable and with or with thier help this trailer was on its way to Fort St John as living quarters. to our amasment I had the vin# in 5 days.
Now it is time to put a shine on her and bring her back to her former radiance. Of course doing the nessesary repairs along the way
This trailer has many miles yet to travel

regards to pics of the streamline mystery trailer
Hi Phil & Sue
If I am feeling better on saturday I'll hook on to to the old gal an give her a full photo shoot. At that time you all can see the gem that we found. I think finding this old trailer and finding these forums has gave me a renewed interest in seeing this project completed if one can ever finish something like this ???? .

I don't think they're ever done, but they can be done enough to enjoy, and that's all that matters!

He does have pics of the inside, and has now posted them in his photo gallery space! http://www.airforums.com/photos/browseimages.php?c=500&userid=28860
I downloaded them, and stored them here on my hard drive so my wife can easily page through them admiring the beauty, and getting ideas.
Thanks ve7rye for the time and effort to get them and upload them for us to enjoy.

Congratulations ! !
Congratulations on your one of a kind find..... Good luck, and it looks like you've got a good place to begin. Very nice interior, should clean up well. Nice to see more Canadians getting trailers from 'back in the day'. Love, love the vintage ! ! !

I had a realy exciting morning today I had a gas tec come over to the house and had him look at the stove and the wall furness in our streamline. The stove fired up fine as I had hoped it would it is a "moffat empress princess".
The next componant was the "Gaffer & Sattler Mission" wall furness. When we tried to fire it up the right heat exchanger got hot right away, the left on however had to be coxed along some what. So after tapping on the heat exchangers all kinds of carbon and soot fell down on to the burners. After vacuming up the debis we also cleaned the burner cleaned up again. As the final out come both burners have a crisp bright blue flame as is the pilot light. I was very impressed with the amount of heat that this furness put out. sure made my day.

yes it is, the very best part is that the burners so no sign of burn out and the stove too the only problem was that someone robbed the little pieces for the pilot light at the base of the burner does any one know where one can find these. The stove is moffot empress princess four burner stove
