Any Airstream Okies or Texans out there?😊

I'm a 35 year old woman in rural Oklahoma re-doing my 63' Sovreign as a pocket/mobile shop, and eventual full time home on the road. I have stayed in my Stream a few times, but have yet to put a bathroom in. 😳
It's basically just camping for now until I made her into my little home.
Just sayin howdy to everyone!

Welcome to the AirForums!

I used to be an Okie, raised in Altus and educated at Oklahoma State. But that was a long time ago. I've lived in the New Orleans metro area since about the time you were born.

Quite a few Texans around here. I just moved up from Corpus Christi to Fort Worth after a lifetime in Dallas.

A vintage kin Silver Streak, currently in storage.

Welcome to AF! OK is in the middle of all the AS fun. Even a dealer in OKC.

Pro - once an Oklahoma resident, always .... an OSU grad ..... well ..... always!
But eating New Orleans food for so long probably does have an affect. Mmmm!

KS, OK, OU, and Ca ........ Hmmmm? Pat

From OKC live in Houston for the past umpteen years. Spent every summer of my early youth in Sulphur at the Cold Springs Campground in Platt National Park. (renamed Chickasaw National Recreation Area)

Using the search function under the ‘community’ tab, seems we have 8612 folks from Texas and 996 from Oklahoma on the Air forums...

Between ‘em all, you’ll find a wealth of info on the “how to’s” of Airstream fixin’, repairin' and renovatin’.

Enjoy the journey!

Welcome. Fairly new to the forum myself. You will find a lot of information here on about any subject you choose. Learning from others experiences is so valuable.

My dad was born in Okmulgee, OK, and I hang my hat officially in Livingston, TX now. Hope to see you out there on your adventures and mad dashes to the bathhouse. Consider joining WBCCI for real time friends, fun, get together soon, courtesy parking, and more at www.wbcci.org

From Texas Airstream Harbor near Lufkin, TX on Lake Sam Rayburn…we're open to Okies…got a lot of good friends up there and a few own Airstreams…take this as an invite to join about 100+ Airstreams during the Region 9 Rally coming up March 14-19 in Shawnee, Oklahoma…you'll meet lots of OKies and Texans there…

Welcome to the boards !

I'm an Okie to. We live in Tulsa, and are restoring a 1975 Argosy...There is a rally in Eureka Springs, AR in April. It might be something you'd want to check out (I'm thinking it would be around 5 hours from Sulphur). Details can be found in this post:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f290...ar-145146.html

Also, someone mentioned an AS dealer in OKC? I didn't realize there was one that close. That's good to know.
