Another one bites the dust....

Hello, My name is Patty and I just joined the Airstream Forum. I'm excited to be here, but before I go on, I have a very important question to ask; I don't have an Airstream, I have a 1971 Silver Streak Sabre. Can I still be a part of your club? If no, okay....I'll head out and continue to look for friends on the road...if okay, Yipee! Thanks. I really enjoy this group, the information and tips are wonderful and useful.

It's ok by me! You don't have to have an Aistream to join us! Were glad you did. the Silverstreak is one cool trailer but the only thing you did wrong was.... No pictures. We love pictures!

Welcome.

Welcome Patty,

Airstream ownership is not a requirement for joining us here. We have a Vintage Kin group of members who own other brands and share they enjoy the goings on as well. Please feel free to participate openly and ask questions or offer comment as you fell inclined.

Regards,

Kevin

Tanks!!!

ugh...I'm not certain how to get pictures on this thread. I so need to learn the forum tools etc so I don't spend so much time trying to figure out how to locate threads of interest and respond to mine. I figured out the "smileys", those weren't too difficult.

Meanwhile, I thank you people for making me feel right-at-home with the AS Forum. I believe this group is going to become family by the time I'm through crossing the Country. I just purchased the '71 Silver Streak Sabre and she is beautiful; I don't mind saying so myself, of course, I could be biased. LOL

She is in great running condition (thank God) and I'm just getting her electrical and wheel bearings inspected before we hit the road at the end of this year. Not long from now people..., not to mention the new hitch I needed installed with sway bar and all! Whew...talk about a brand new pair of shoes!

As soon as I can figure out picture installments to this site, you bet there will be photos of her. It will be like someone showing off thier first child or grandchild to everyone to see. tee hee.... I promise not to bomb-bard you people with too much, but this is all new for me. Pulling a trailer and traveling/working across the good 'ol USA. Again, TANKS! For making a newbie feel welcomed. Can't wait to find other threads which will help me out with getting to know my trailer. Ahhh ha ha ha...I figured out photos...the torture begins...braaaa ha ha ha... okay, not so scary!

Hi Patty and welcome to airforums.com! That is one seriously cool-looking trailer you have there. I'm sure you will have loads of fun in/with it.

You have the right idea, make sure it's safe before going out in the world. I don't know if Silver Streaks are as prone to leaks as Airstreams are, but that's probably the number 2 item to check.

Funny to see what looks like a giant trunk hanging off the back of your TT. On an rear-bathroom AS, that would be a big no-no, but on yours, I think it's a factory installed item. Wow, some things ARE different!

Great looking trailer. I have always liked the wood work in the SS trailers. It looks like you have a real gem.

Gorgeous trailer! I love all the windows you have, and wow! Who couldn't use a trunk like that?! Happy traveling,

Lisa
