Another noob here!

Hi all,
Well I am not new to Airstreams, I have had my 1972 Ambassador for around 10 years or more, but have not used it in all most the same amount of time so I figure I might as well be new. Sadly it has been sitting and patiently waiting. Now the time has come! I went to visit today to check on tire size and to see how dirty it is. It has 7x15 load range C tires on it and I want to get new ones to be on the safe side. Any recomendations for a cheap replacement set of tires that are easily available? After I get it home with some new tires it will need a long cleaning. Ten years worth of dust adds up. I am sure I will be here frequently searching for help and answers as I try to bring back my Airstream to glory. It is not in bad shape just sat too long so we will see what all i'll need along the way. I was glad to find such an active forum this should be fun

Welcome to the Airforums.

Marathon tires maybe something to look at. The PO of my Airstream bought them several years ago and they are an excellent condition without weather checking.

I run marathons but there are at least a half a dozen threads on this forum where people have had *BAD* problems with them blowing up and disintegrating. Personally they have worked for me, but I am meticulous about checking tire pressure.

I foisted the links below from a post by 2airishuman who seemed to have all the links.

Welcome Dave! I am just up the road from you and would love to see your trailer! We have a great chapter of the WBCCI and the VAC (Vintage Airstream Club) right here in the Denver metro area.

Ask questions.....we are all here to learn and help each other.
