Another newbie

Hello to everyone - I don't own an Airstream yet but am working on it! They are fab (as most of you already know). Anyway I look forward to buying one and getting on the road.

Look forward to posting with you!

Cool Welcome from the Heartland....

Hi Muddy Waters -

Welcome to our "little" group of silver fanatics. You shouldn't have any trouble making friends as there are many AS owners in your state. You might contact your local WBCCI unit to see if any of the members have a trailer they are selling. Our unit members here have had three for sale recently.

Please join us on Tuesday evening for a chat at 6:00 your time.

Thank you, Beth, I will do that. Put it on my calendar, even. I checked the classifieds already and sent out a few e-mails. Maybe something good will happen.

While buying high dollar stuff on ebay ought to be left to the pros, if you watch the airstreams for sale, it can at least give you an idea of price ranges for various units and will give you bargaining power. I brought in 4 closed auction printouts to Beaudry RV un Tucson when I bought my used one off their lot and it pretty much shut down the haggling on what they were asking for. We got right to the point and I still feel like we got a great deal and a warranty that I used right off the bat on getting the convection oven rebuilt completey. Saved me hundreds on the oven and thousands on the purchase.

Good luck!

Robert, I sent them an e-mail regarding two of their listings. The problem is, they are in New Jersey and we are in Oregon, so pickup may be a bit tricky but for the right TT we might figure out something.

There are some good-lookin' deals out there. We're putting our money together and should be close to purchasing one toward the end of the month. We may keep it at our daughter's in California for the winter. If we can successfully navigate ourselves beyond the Siskiyou Pass in the winter with just our TV, we can hook up and get in some traveling in the southern part of the US. Or, at least that's what we're dreaming of, loll
